What the service provides

The NOW Times publishes news summaries, analysis, and perspectives for general information. Stories can change as new information becomes available, and we may correct, update, remove, or reorganize content without notice.

The service does not provide legal, financial, medical, investment, or other professional advice. You should use qualified professional advice and reliable primary sources when making important decisions.

AI-assisted and public-source content

We use xAI's Grok services to help identify, assess, classify, and draft articles using public story information and selected public posts from X. Human-selected research inputs and safeguards reduce risk but do not guarantee that every statement is complete, current, or correct.

Public posts shown with an article provide research context. They are not necessarily independent sources, endorsements by The NOW Times, or proof of every claim in the article. Opinions in quoted or linked material belong to their authors.

You are responsible for checking important claims against reliable primary or independent sources before relying on them.

Signing in

  • Sign-in is handled through Flowsta Auth and is subject to Flowsta's terms and privacy practices.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Flowsta account and any device or browser where your session is stored.
  • You must not use another person's account or misrepresent your identity or authority.
  • We may restrict access to signed-in features if needed to protect the service, comply with law, or respond to misuse.

The NOW Times does not receive or store your Flowsta password.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • disrupt, damage, overload, or interfere with the service,
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, accounts, systems, or non-public endpoints,
  • bypass authentication, access controls, rate limits, or other safeguards,
  • use automated access in a way that places an unreasonable load on the service or ignores applicable instructions and restrictions,
  • introduce malware or use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity, or
  • reproduce or use content in a way that infringes another person's rights or applicable law.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, The NOW Times' original articles, branding, site design, and layout are owned by The NOW Times or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Articles may contain or link to material owned by others, including public posts, names, text, and images from X or other sources. Those materials remain subject to their owners' rights and the relevant platform terms. Their inclusion does not transfer ownership to The NOW Times.

You may link to public pages and make fair use of content where permitted by law. These terms do not grant permission to republish substantial portions of our original content or use our branding in a way that suggests endorsement.

The site relies on and may link to third-party services, including Flowsta, Google Analytics, Firebase and Google Cloud, X, and xAI. Third-party services have their own terms, privacy practices, and availability. We are not responsible for their content, security, policies, or operation.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, including signed-in features, at any time. We do not guarantee that the service or any article will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors.

No warranty

To the extent permitted by law, the service and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Nothing in these terms excludes guarantees, warranties, rights, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under Australian consumer law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The NOW Times is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service or its content.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We may update these terms when the service changes. The updated date at the top shows when the terms were last revised. Continued use after revised terms are published means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Courts in Victoria, Australia have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these terms, subject to applicable law and any rights that cannot be excluded.
