Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 February 2026
This page explains what The NOW Times stores, what it does not store, and how authentication works.
Authentication (Flowsta)
- We use Flowsta Auth for sign-in.
- Authentication happens through Flowsta's login flow.
- We do not store your Flowsta password or credentials on our servers.
- After sign-in, basic profile details (like display name/profile image) may be used in the browser UI.
Data we store
At this time, our main stored application data is article/content data (for example: article title, body, category, source topic metadata).
For article context features, we may also store selected public X post data related to a story, including post text, post ID, author handle/name, and public engagement metrics.
We may also process standard operational data such as server logs for reliability and security.
Data we do not store (in our app database)
- We do not store your Flowsta credentials.
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not run user-generated messaging or profile publishing features in this app.
Third-party services
We rely on infrastructure and external services including:
- Flowsta Auth (authentication)
- Firebase / Google Cloud (hosting, database, server runtime, operational logs)
- External content APIs used to build article context (including the X API)
Each third-party service has its own privacy practices.
X API usage
We use the X API to fetch public trend and post data used in article context and related-post displays. We do not store private X credentials from users.
Security
We use commercially reasonable technical controls, but no internet system is guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. Updates are effective when published on this page.
